Dear Xper
Many thanks for your mail and your interest in my machines
Sorry to have to tell you that this particular machine sold on
Sunday and is on it's way to the US at this moment.
If you'd still like me to give you a call, I'd be happy to do so --
I've a 1 cent a minute plan to the US.

Long e-mail coming up --- sorry
As per the web site, you need to consider the voltage business.
I source most of my machines in Europe which has the great advantage
of my being able to select better-condition models but most are 240
volt operation. Therefore, for use in North America either a
converter - a small black box which plugs between the machine and the
wall socket - is needed or a permanent conversion to 110 volts

Up until a short time ago there was no option but for the additional
box. Then I found a retired ex-Singer electrical specialist who had
the equipment and skill to totally re-build the 240-volt motors to
the original Singer US specification.
So now there are two ways to go.
1) The add-on black box. Advantages: Cost, it's the cheapest option.
I can arrange deliver of a correct specification converter box to
your address from a US source for $25. Disadvantages: It's something
else to carry around and have to be explained at quilt classes.
2) The full motor conversion. Advantages:Plug in and sew. No
additional bits and pieces. Because the motors are totally rebuilt
internally to a high standard they come with a one-year guarantee.
Virtually a new motor. There are no external alterations at all to
degrade the value of the machine. Disadvantages. Cost. It's more
expensive at $85.
Although most of my customers opt for the interior conversion, I have
had no adverse reports of the recommended add-on converter.

Here's how it works
I ask you to send a normal personal US dollar check to me
to
Graham Forsdyke
158 Hampton Road
Chingford
London E4 8NT
England
Whilst it is on the way, I do the machine conversion to 110 volts,
fully service the machine and get the packing underway. I also start
the paperwork for the special insurance and for this I need the
delivery address by e-mail advance please.
The moment I get the check the machine is shipped.

An alternative is credit card either through Paypal at
http://www.paypal.com using this e-mail address as the account
identification or direct to me
If you wish to send directly to me please, for security reasons, use
the following procedure.
Send the first half of the number - eg 1234 5678 XXXX XXXX to me at
this e-mail address
Send the second half XXXX XXXX 12234 5678 to graham@e-powersellers.com
I'll also need to know the type of card (Visa and MC only please)
plus expiration date, the name as it appears on the card and the
billing address if different from the delivery address
I'm also quite happy to phone you for the card details.
Any further queries, please get back to me.
Regards
Graham

Dear Mr. Forsdyke:
You should receive my PayPal payment for $585 presently.
This is for the machine ($500) and the Internal conversion ($85).
Please advise of further charges, if any.
URGENT: I have an inconvenient situation whereby anything shipped by the Post Office must go to the PO Box address shown on the Paypal payment but, if you are shipping via UPS, Fedex, or any third-party, the address must be:
Xper Dunn
444 Jupiter Drive
Lincolnvile, NY 10540
[The post office won't deliver to my home address and third party shippers are prohibited from delivering to a PO Box.]
If you have any questions regarding this shipping method/address problem, please advise.
Thanks for all your help. I look forward to surprising my wife this Christmas.
Regards,
Xper Dunn

Dear Graham
It's been a pleasure doing business with you.
I hope for all our sakes that both the terrorists
and the desperate rancor that produces them will someday soon
be a subject for the history texts.
Good luck!

Dear Sir:
I just wanted to set your mind at ease and let you know that the machine arrived in good condition.
I'd also like to compliment your packaging; very stout, took forever to unpack.
Thanks again for everything.
